22nd July Afternoon Session ( Blackpool ) Game 1 + 2

I can't believe I've won it!" was the first reaction from Andy Hamilton as he completed one of the greatest comebacks in tournament history at the Sky Bet World Matchplay in Blackpool.
At 15-8 down in the first to 16 legs, the tournament sponsors had 'The Hammer' at 100/1 for victory - and even he didn't think he'd pull it back.
"At that point I just thought to myself just enjoy it and try and pinch a leg here or there and then all of a sudden I'm back in the game," he said.
Whitlock was ticking along nicely with a near 100 average and a 50 per cent ratio on doubles but as Hamilton got going the pressure got to Whitlock who went on to miss five match darts.
"He started missing doubles and when it got to 15-13 I started thinking 'I'm going on to win this'," said Hamilton.
At 15-8 reports were being written proclaiming an easy Whitlock win, but eight legs won on the trot for Hamilton and then 'the greatest bull of my life' to seal an unlikely win.

Comeback

After a first round victory over Gary Anderson and now this comeback, the world number 17 now feels that he can go on and take the title.
"I need to improve on the start of my game but if I can start how I'm finishing I'm a force to be reckoned with," he said.
Now into the semi-final, this represents a return to form for Hamilton who only recently dropped out of the top 16 - an improvement he partly put down to his new manager Jess Harding.
"When someone comes on board and believes in you it helps you to believe in yourself and now I'm back to 2007 form when I reach the semi-finals," said Hamilton.
Current world champion Adrian Lewis also progressed to the final four with a 16-12 win over Wales' Mark Webster.

Webster broke Lewis' throw in only the second leg before storming into a 6-2 lead. Lewis, the world number two, fought back to 7-7 and took control of the match.
