Phil Taylor 6-3 Brendan Dolan - Set By Set
First Set 3-1 - Dolan wins the game's opening leg, but Taylor takes the next three, including a 12-darter to whitewash Dolan - to take the first set.
Second Set 3-0 - Taylor sweeps through the second set without reply to double his lead.
Third Set 1-3 - Taylor wins the opener with a 101 finish to win a seventh successive leg, but Dolan hits back with a 180 in leg two, a 160 start to the third and double eight to win the set.
Fourth Set 3-2 - Taylor takes the first two legs, including a 120 checkout in the second, but Dolan takes out a 170 finish in the third leg and then levels the set, only for Taylor to land double 18 and secure the set.
Fifth Set 2-3 - Dolan punishes missed doubles from Taylor to lead before the nine-time winner takes the next two to lead 2-1, only to let Dolan back in to level before missing 124 on the bull in the decider, as the Northern Ireland ace takes his second set.
Sixth Set 3-2 - Taylor wins a crucial set 3-2, initially leading 2-0 before Dolan hits back to level, only to see the Stoke great win the decider with a 13-darter, which included an opening score of 160 and a 171.
Seventh Set 3-1 - Taylor moves a set away from victory by coming from behind in the seventh, with Dolan hitting a 180 and double seven to win leg one only to see Taylor finish 100 with two double tops in the second, double top in the third and an 85 finish to take the set.
Eighth Set 2-3 - Dolan wins the first two legs, hitting a pressure 81 finish and a 124 bullseye checkout for a 12-darter before Taylor hits back, edging a scrappy third on double one and the fourth with an 81 finish after the pair traded 180s. Taylor, though, missed 11 opening doubles in the decider, and Dolan took the set with a 14-dart leg.
Ninth Set 3-1 - Dolan hits a superb 11-darter to lead, but Taylor levels on tops and after a tenth maximum from the Northern Irishman it's the world number one who finishes 83 on the bull to move to the brink of victory, which he seals on double top.
