Defending champion Martin Adams breezed into the quarter-finals of the BDO World Championships on Tuesday night with a rout of Scot Gary Stone.
The Londoner, seeking a fourth title after wins in 2007, 2010 and last year, averaged just over 90 as he ruthlessly swept aside Stone 4-0 at Frimley Green."I take it round by round," Adams stated after his emphatic victory. "Hopefully there will be players to push me and that's when I'll find out if I've still got it."
Paul Jennings was the first player of the evening to progress from the second round at Lakeside as he saw off Steve Douglas 4-2.
He was joined in the quarter-finals by 27-year-old Dutch electrician Wesley Harms who came from a set down to produce an upset, comprehensively defeating Robbie Green 4-1.
2009 finalist Tony O'Shea won the day's final match as he easily got the better of Scotland's Ross Montgomery, emerging a 4-1 winner.
