PHIL TAYLOR has admitted that darts IS bad for your health.
The Power has pledged his support to England colleague James Wade, who was diagnosed with clinical depression, bipolar and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).As SunSport revealed exclusively yesterday Wade spent 28 days in The Priory.
It comes just weeks after Taylor separated from Yvonne, his wife of 23 years, and world champ Adrian Lewis split from partner Katie, the mother of his daughter Myla.
Taylor said: "I feel for James because he's a really decent bloke. We might be rivals on the oche but we are one big extended family. We spend more time with fellow players than our families so we'll need to be there for him.
"There's more drama in darts than in an episode of EastEnders — but I'm not surprised. We are on the road so much it affects everyone, it's not a nice lifestyle. We earn damn good money and we fully appreciate it but we make sacrifices. We spend most weekends away from our loved ones, not including the major events that last a week.
"It's very hard to balance home life and competing at the top."
Wade was relieved after unburdening himself to SunSport and he thanked his fans on the Unicorn Darts website. He said: "You may have read the story today in The Sun. I've lived with this for many years and I'm thankful I'm now receiving the very best of help. I'm currently in a great place and as you will have seen my form is also recovering at great speed!
"I thank everyone for their messages. I'm blown away by your support.
"I also want to tell fellow sufferers there is no shame in asking for help, it's the best thing to do
